Indian applications and games see an increase in 200% of active monthly users in 2021 compared to 2019, a Google Play official said in a blog post on Thursday. Swamy said that India had crossed the main milestone of 100 Unicorn, and most of this as a business supported by the application. He said the developer and startup ecosystems that were active and developing in this country had helped Google Play, which had completed 10 years in India, creating an extraordinary application ecosystem in all categories. “Especially in the last two years, we have seen cross category applications such as education, payments, health, entertainment, and extraordinary game witnesses,” Swamy said.
He said that there was a great momentum in playing games as well as Ludo King to be one of the first Indian games to cross 500 million downloads. Swamy said more than 2.5 billion people in more than 190 countries use Google Play every month to find applications, games and digital content and more than two million developers work with organizations to build their businesses and reach people around the world.
