A hospital in Kerala has apologized for using a photo of American actor Morgan Freeman in a skin care advertising. Vizara Cooperative Hospital is under fire when their ad photos begin to circulate on social media. The pics of the poster that are now removed shows that hospitals use 84-year-old actor photos to advertise several services, including the removal of leather tags, warts, milliia, and more.
Social media users slam the hospital to run ads in racist tones. “Sir Morgan Freeman, your image is used as a poster in the Advt Board Dermatology Department in the hospital in Kerala, India,” Write a Twitter user. “Use your image as a sample, they claim to make everyone free from dark chocolate, wrinkles, pigments …”
Criticism of the film GP Ramachandran wrote: Hospital “Co-operative ‘Vadajara’ is a disgrace and insult to the great cooperative sector in Kerala.”
Meanwhile, Sree Parvathy, a writer, proceeded to register Morgan Freeman’s impressive and broad filmfriend in an effort to introduce the Oscar winner’s actor. “Those who raised Morgan images from the internet failed to identify the Oscar winner’s actor and left with his skin color, the rash on his face and his African-American heritage,” he wrote.
After facing a severe reaction for advertising, Vadakara Cooperative Hospital apologized and lowered their posters.
“Images were taken from the internet and the board were displayed near the victim on January 26 (Wednesday). When we found out about mistakes, it was removed on Saturday,” T Sunil, the hospital marketing manager, told New Indian Express. “The hospital has issued an apology on his Facebook page. There is no intention to slander the great actor,” he added.
