Rainbow Six Mobile for iOS and Android announced, register now for early access

Ubisoft has announced the Rainbow Six Siege will soon come to iOS and Android devices. The company in a blog post said “Our vision is to bring Rainbow Six Universe to Mobile, allowing more people around the world to enjoy competitive, tactical, and deep FPS experiences whenever and wherever they want.”

The Rainbow Six Mobile Dev team will be based in Montreal, and consists of veterans from the AAA console and the world of mobile games. This independent team will only be focused on developing mobile games. Meanwhile the Rainbow Six Siege team will continue to operate separately.

Ubisoft said “Rainbow Six Mobile is a competitive and tactical FPS game with two teams 5 – attackers and defenders. While core gameplay, character, and maps can share similarities with siege, we have rebuilt everything from the bottom up with the use of the cellphone in mind . We have placed a lot of work under the hood to adapt the siege experience for cellular devices. This includes a completely new gameplay control system developed specifically for cellular optimization and extensive UI and visual presentations in the game. “
